Brewery Taproom & Events Venue WiFi for Dhillon's Brewery, Coventry
Dhillon's Brewery is an independent, award-winning Coventry craft brewery, established in 2015, with a taproom and events venue at Hales Industrial Estate, Longford. It hosts live music, brewery tours, match-day events and private hire, and ships beer across the UK.
The Challenge
The brewery site is several businesses under one roof: production, a busy online shop shipping beer nationwide, a taproom with weekly gigs, brewery tours, and a venue for private hire. All of it relies on the internet, from order processing and card payments to guests connecting on event nights. Dhillon's was moving all six of its venues from its previous provider to Flexible WiFi, and the brewery needed a network that could cope with a packed taproom without affecting the office, and would keep trading if the main connection dropped.
Our Solution
Rather than install new lines, we took over the brewery's existing internet connections and built our managed WiFi service on top of them, with a managed firewall keeping guest WiFi separate from the brewery's own systems. The site already had a Starlink service, so we configured it as an automatic failover link: if the primary connection fails, traffic switches over without anyone on site having to do anything. Guest WiFi uses the same branded portal as the rest of the Dhillon's estate, feeding the group's Fresh CRM so taproom visitors join the brewery's marketing lists.
The Result
The brewery and taproom now run on the same managed, monitored platform as every other Dhillon's venue, with automatic failover protecting orders and payments. Taproom guests connect through the branded portal on gig and match nights, business systems stay separate from guest WiFi, and the brewery team has one support contact, 24/7/365, for all six sites in the group.
