The Challenge

As a large mixed-use events venue spanning indoor conference facilities, restaurants, and outdoor spaces, Heart of England needed WiFi that could handle vastly different demands - from high-density conference connectivity to coverage across car parks for outdoor events. The venue also required a modern phone system that could route calls intelligently between different departments including bookings, the restaurant, and management. Traditional solutions struggled with the site's scale and the seasonal peaks during wedding season and events.

Our Solution

We deployed a comprehensive managed WiFi solution with indoor and outdoor access points providing seamless coverage from the main conference spaces through to the car parks. A Cambium XV2-2T0 outdoor access point extends coverage to the main parking area for outdoor events. The site also features our Shout! guest engagement platform for event attendees. We're currently deploying a 16-channel 3CX VoIP phone system with AI-powered call answering for the Quicken Tree restaurant, Yealink desk phones throughout the offices, and wireless DECT handsets for staff who need to move around the venue.

The Result

Heart of England now offers reliable WiFi connectivity across their entire venue - indoors and out - supporting everything from intimate board meetings to large-scale outdoor events. The Shout! platform engages guests and captures valuable feedback. The new phone system will modernise their communications with intelligent call routing, ensuring enquiries reach the right team whether it's a wedding booking, restaurant reservation, or corporate event.
