Farmers Fayre

The Challenge

With three distinct locations spread across Warwickshire and Coventry, Farmers Fayre faced a common multi-site challenge: separate phone systems at each location meant customers calling one site couldn't easily be transferred to another, staff had no way to communicate between locations without mobile phones, and there was no unified approach to managing calls across the business. Each site also needed reliable WiFi for tills, card payments, and back-office operations, with the Stoneleigh and Ryton sites requiring outdoor coverage for their expansive grounds.

Our Solution

We deployed a unified communications solution spanning all three Farmers Fayre sites. Each location received enterprise WiFi with Cambium access points - including outdoor units at Stoneleigh and Ryton Pools for coverage across car parks and outdoor areas. A central 8-channel 3CX VoIP phone system connects all three sites, with desk phones and wireless DECT handsets enabling staff to answer calls from any location. Calls to any Farmers Fayre number can now be transferred seamlessly between sites, and the reception team can see which colleagues are available across all locations.

The Result

Farmers Fayre now operates as one unified business across all three sites. A customer calling Stoneleigh can be transferred to a colleague at Charterhouse without hanging up. Staff use DECT handsets to stay connected while moving around the shops and grounds. The outdoor WiFi coverage means card payments work at external events and pop-up stalls. Management have visibility of call activity across all sites, helping them understand customer enquiry patterns and staff workload distribution.
