The Judd Hotel
Boutique hotel in Bloomsbury, London - part of the Capilion Hotels group alongside the neighbouring Jenkins Hotel.
The Challenge
The Judd Hotel and the neighbouring Jenkins Hotel, both owned by Capilion Hotels, needed seamless WiFi coverage for guests across both properties. The hotels are in separate buildings but the owners wanted a unified network without running cables between the two sites.
Our Solution
We installed a Cambium ePMP Force180 point-to-point wireless link between the rooftops, connecting both hotels to a single network. The Judd Hotel received 16 Cambium XV2 access points (5 ceiling-mounted XV2-21X units plus 11 wall-plate XV2-22H units in bedrooms). The Jenkins Hotel received 10 access points with the same mix. A Fortinet 60F firewall provides security across both sites. All managed via our FlexZone portal.
The Result
Both hotels now operate as one seamless network. Guests can roam between buildings without reconnecting. The point-to-point link delivers reliable bandwidth without ongoing line rental costs. 24/7 monitoring ensures any issues are detected before guests notice.
