Space Business Centre operates two thriving business parks in Gloucestershire - a 53-unit facility in Cheltenham and a 49-unit centre in Gloucester. Together they host over 100 SME businesses across diverse sectors including fitness, food production, electrical services, photography studios, and trade businesses.
The Challenge
Managing WiFi infrastructure across two separate business parks with over 100 tenant businesses presented unique challenges. Each tenant needed reliable, secure connectivity for their operations - from point-of-sale systems and online bookings to VoIP telephony and cloud-based business tools. The previous infrastructure struggled with tenant isolation, bandwidth contention during peak hours, and complex onboarding processes for new tenants.
Our Solution
We deployed a comprehensive managed WiFi solution across both sites using enterprise-grade Cambium networks at the Cheltenham & Gloucester facilities to all units. Each tenant receives their own secure VLAN with dedicated bandwidth allocation. The centrally-managed infrastructure allows rapid onboarding of new tenants and provides the Space team with real-time visibility of network health across both sites.
The Result
Both Space Business Centres now operate on a unified, enterprise-grade network that easily handles 100+ concurrent tenant businesses. New tenant onboarding has been reduced from days to minutes. The reliable connectivity has become a key selling point for attracting new tenants, with the vast majority currently subscribed to managed WiFi services. Network uptime exceeds 99.9% across both facilities.
