The Challenge
As a legal practice handling confidential client information, Murray's Solicitors needed network infrastructure that met the stringent security requirements of their profession. Their existing setup was struggling to keep pace with modern demands - cloud-based case management systems, secure document sharing, and the need for professional VoIP communications. They required complete network segregation between staff systems, guest access, and devices like printers. Above all, they needed the peace of mind that their infrastructure met Solicitors Regulation Authority data protection expectations.
Our Solution
We delivered a complete managed network solution tailored to the legal sector's requirements. A dedicated Brsk leased line via CityFibre provides 200Mbps committed bandwidth, burstable to 1Gbps for demanding workloads. A Fortinet FortiGate 30G firewall provides enterprise-grade security with next-generation threat protection, content filtering, and detailed logging for compliance purposes. Two Cambium XV2-2 access points deliver reliable WiFi coverage throughout the building with separate VLANs for staff, guests, and IoT devices. A managed PoE switch connects all infrastructure. We also deployed a 3CX VoIP phone system with 10 extensions, giving the practice professional call handling, voicemail-to-email, and mobile integration.
The Result
Murray's Solicitors now operates on a fully managed, compliant network infrastructure that supports their legal practice operations. Staff have fast, reliable access to cloud case management systems and secure file sharing. The segregated guest WiFi allows clients to connect safely without any risk to the practice network.
