Headley Golf Club
Private golf club near Bradford, West Yorkshire.
The Challenge
Headley Golf Club sits in a rural location near Thornton, Bradford where traditional broadband options are either unavailable or painfully slow. The club needed reliable connectivity for members, staff, and bar/restaurant operations — but with no viable fixed-line options, the challenge was getting enterprise-grade internet to a location that fibre forgot.
Our Solution
We installed a Starlink satellite connection as the primary internet link, backed by a Fortigate 40F firewall for security and traffic management. Three Cambium XV2-21X access points provide full coverage across the clubhouse, bar, and function areas, all connected through a managed Cambium switch. The entire system is monitored and supported 24/7.
The Result
The club went from unreliable, slow connectivity to fast satellite-powered WiFi that covers every corner of the clubhouse. Members can check scores, use the bar, and book tee times online without buffering. Staff have a reliable connection for card payments and operations, and the Starlink link delivers consistent speeds regardless of the rural location.
