With an active portfolio of construction sites from Peterborough to Lichfield, they needed a partner who could deliver reliable connectivity to any location, regardless of how remote.
The Challenge
Construction sites present unique connectivity challenges - they're temporary by nature, often in locations with no fixed-line infrastructure, and need to be operational from day one. Deeley's site teams rely on connectivity for everything from project management software and BIM collaboration to CCTV, site access systems, and daily progress reporting. With multiple active sites across the region, they needed a scalable solution that could be deployed rapidly to any location while maintaining consistent security standards through their SD-WAN architecture.
Our Solution
We've become Deeley's strategic connectivity partner, providing a comprehensive SD-WAN solution that connects all their sites back to HQ through secure Fortinet infrastructure. Each site receives a tailored deployment typically including Starlink internet for rapid connectivity, FortiGate firewalls (30G/30F models) for security and SD-WAN functionality, and Cambium or FortiAP access points for site-wide WiFi coverage. Larger sites receive extended deployments with multiple APs and point-to-point links. The SD-WAN fabric ensures all sites can securely access central systems while maintaining consistent security policies.
The Result
Deeley now has a standardised, scalable approach to site connectivity that can be deployed within days of site establishment. Project managers have reliable access to all the tools they need, from Viewpoint project management to Microsoft Teams collaboration. The SD-WAN architecture means sites can access shared resources securely while IT maintains visibility across all locations through our FlexZone portal. When sites complete, equipment is simply redeployed to the next project.
